Client Services

In Client Services, our job is to know what motivates and inspires consumers, help communicate insights, and develop relationships with our clients. As great listeners and creative thinkers, we are an extension of our client’s team, charged to help them improve customer loyalty and deliver results. Client Services partners with the Operations and Research teams to deliver comprehensive and actionable information to our clients. Client Services also contributes to the business development efforts of the company by providing expertise and process insights to prospective clients. We are team players, strategic thinkers, and proactively anticipate client needs.

Research

Our knowledgeable Research Team is the muscle behind the numbers. Our advance-degreed team is constantly diving deeper into the information to discover the reasons behind consumer behavior.
The Research Team is responsible for delivering statistical analyses that help our clients make decisions that improve the satisfaction and loyalty of their customers and employees. Our statistically savvy team serves as a resource for SMG employees and clients on quantitative and qualitative data analysis, survey design, and survey methodology, including sophisticated modeling that generate insights around our clients’ customers and employees. With a constant curiosity, we take the initiative to dive deeper into the data and challenge ourselves to look at the information with a unique perspective.
Operations

For me, a good day at work involves solving problems, enjoying collaboration in achieving milestones and guiding those I work with to help them succeed in their roles.

Our Operations team includes application development, infrastructure, business analysis, and testing. The team applies traditional and Agile methods to design and implement innovative analytical solutions. We support systems that collect millions of records from various sources using market leading technologies including a data centric architecture on a Microsoft platform, SQL, and SharePoint. This technology is a scalable, high transaction/volume environment that collects and manages millions of bytes of data.
If you have knowledge and experience in leading edge technology, testing or business analysis, this is the team for you. Our Operations team collaborates in daily Scrum meetings to ensure we are implementing the best solutions. The team has a fantastic balance of technical and interpersonal skills. We work diligently to ensure quality and timely deliverables and also research, drive, and adhere to "best-in-class" standards for data collection, surveying, and reporting to produce the best possible products for our clients.
Administration

Working at a mid-sized company with a family feel, I am able to impact the organization on a daily basis. I love working with the teams to develop and implement programs that make SMG a great place to work.

Finance/Accounting and Human Resources comprise the Administration Department. We provide overall support to SMG, and feel it’s our job to help others succeed. In addition to traditional functions, our team works closely with all of the SMG departments on various cross-functional projects.
Our Finance/Accounting Team is dedicated to providing our management with the best information possible to make good business decisions. The team handles daily accounting functions, including determining pricing, completing actual to budget analysis, reconciling balance sheet accounts, participating in the monthly closing process and completing payroll.
Our Human Resources Team is passionate about the success of the SMG and, more specifically, our people. Responsibilities span across internal strategy, recruiting, legal and regulatory, coaching and development, compensation and benefits, employee relations and community involvement.
We go beyond strategic planning and budgeting. We love numbers and care for our people…but not necessarily in that order.
Sales & Marketing

SMG’s Sales and Marketing Team excels in understanding our clients, their businesses and how SMG’s solutions can impact their long term success. They are responsible for new business development and client education. This includes participating in industry conferences, as well as preparing proposals, executive presentations and marketing communications.
Successful salespeople have a drive to get in the door. It’s our duty to prove how SMG's tools are vital to our clients' businesses, develop relationships and connect on a personal level.
Our Marketing Team is responsible for maintaining our brand and sharing knowledge within the industry. This creative and engaging team works across departments to ensure our products and services are tailored to meet our clients’ needs.
