On September 28-29, 2010, SMG hosted a select group of clients at our offices in Kansas City for our first Best Practice Summit. The Summit is designed to provide our clients with a relaxed, interactive atmosphere to share with one another as well as better understand how to leverage customer feedback for business success.
The Summit began with a client networking event and dinner at Kaufman Stadium, to watch the Kansas City Royals take on the Minnesota Twins. The Royals won 10-1, kicking things off on a positive note! (A few of our Minnesota-based clients might disagree...)
The Best Practice Summit featured two tracks: an Executive Track, designed for executive-level education and strategic best practices; and a Power User Track, with content specifically created for those who work with SMG on a daily basis, providing applicable and actionable sessions for business improvement. Both tracks were created for our clients to learn from each other and discover ways to get the most from their relationship with SMG.
Our keynote speaker, Keith Ferrazzi, spoke on the science and purpose behind building relationships, diving deep into the types of relationships that mean the most to business and personal success. He also hosted an interactive workshop for the Executive Track.
We ended with a reception on SMG's rooftop terrace, overlooking downtown Kansas City. Our clients left with fresh ideas and new connections, many already making plans to join us again next year! Thanks to all who attended and to our fantastic associates for hosting our guests.
