Do Christmas Eve diners have a cheery experience?

Employee Spotlight | Dec 6, 2013 Employee Spotlight 12/06/13

Actually, compared to other Mondays in December, large parties have a deflated experience on Christmas Eve. Analysis of casual dining concepts in December 2012 revealed several important measures took a dip on the holiday for large parties. Atmosphere scores, which operators might expect to be elevated on this holiday, were nearly 10% points lower.

The number of large parties more than doubles on Christmas Eve, providing restaurants with the opportunity to make a positive impression on more guests and keep them coming back. Restaurants should take care to focus on Friendliness as the key to providing a warm Atmosphere for celebrating guests. Doing so will lead to higher Overall Satisfaction and return visits from these Highly Satisfied guests after the holiday season.
