1. Tell us what an average day in the life is like for you.

My average day is a mix between running data analyses for our clients, going to meetings, and stroking my beard while muttering “Interesting.”

2. What is it like working on your team?

Working on Team Falconer is great. We have a dedicated group of professionals who are just as helpful as they are fun to work with. Research Analysts take a client’s business questions, run the appropriate statistical tests, interpret the data, and call out where the most interesting insights can be found. This is a collaborative process where the team decides how best to display the data and craft raw numbers into a story. Research Analysts are also expected to help coach their teams in explaining complicated statistics so the client can understand them and take action.

3. What do you love most about your job?

The best part of my job is the opportunity to learn something new every day. Even after 5 years at SMG, there are always new skills to gain or new methods of analyses to test.

4. How does your job contribute to our clients’ success?

My job is to arm our clients with the data they need to make informed business decisions. When I do my job well, our clients find new insights that help them improve their customer experience—and ultimately their business—in ways they hadn’t thought of before. If a client tries out a new training program or series of products, then we can test how effective they were at enhancing the customer experience. If a client is worried about where they stand in the marketplace—which is always—then we can let them know where they rank compared to their competitors. We can also dive into customer comments to find specific examples of wins and opportunities for improvement.

5. What would you tell someone interested in joining the SMG team?

Do it! SMG has a fantastic culture and gives people so many opportunities to grow.

6. How would you describe SMG in 3 words?

Teamwork. Excellence. Superawesomefuntimes.
